The Band
History
Nonsense Beauty (NSB) is an alternative rock band from Santiago, Chile, formed in 2023. With an eclectic style that combines influences from grunge, 2000s rock, post grunge and indie, their music explores deep themes such as inner beauty, mental health and addictions. The name Nonsense Beauty reflects their philosophy: to challenge superficiality and rediscover the true beauty that dwells in the soul.
Musical Style
The band combines influences from artists such as Evanescence, A Perfect Circle, The Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters and Alice in Chains. Their music reflects the energy and melancholy of 90s and 2000s rock, with a modern and emotionally resonant sonic aesthetic.
The Voice
Lianny Semprun
Liane brings unrivaled charisma on stage and is the band's primary lyricist.
- Origin: Venezuela
- Experience: Since 2016.
- Training in lyrical singing and self-taught guitar.
- Previous performances in competitions, festivals and as a backing vocalist for a bossa nova group.
- Vocal style: Fusion of sweetness and strength, influenced by artists such as Lana del Rey, Amy Winehouse and Adele.
The Drums
Gabriel Carvallo
- Style: Powerful and visceral, compared to Dave Grohl.
- Influences: Porcupine Tree, Rush, The Smashing, Pumpkins.
- Career: More than 15 years playing in rock bands in Santiago, including performances in iconic bars such as Óxido and Rock & Guitarras.
- Fun fact: He is vegan and the father of a 1-year-old child.
The Bass
Tomas Cajigal

Style: Dynamic groove, with occasional distorted touches and slap technique.

Equipment: Fender Jazz Bass, Rickenbacker, Ampeg cabinet and Line 6 HX Stomp multi-effect.

Background: Experience in the underground scene of the V region, as well as training at School of Rock playing in different bars in Santiago.
The Guitar
Salvador Jeria

Style: Raw and energetic sound, with a characteristic use of wah-wah.

Equipment: Gibson Les Paul, custom MP amplifier and Fractal FM3 pedalboard.

Career: More than 10 years playing, going through projects such as Trending Pop (with an EP on Spotify), Indianapolis and Viciado.

Influences: A Perfect Circle, Radiohead, Tool, Deftones, Korn.
